Dr. Barber first qualified in medicine in 1995 and trained as an anaesthetist becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2002. It was while developing his career in anaesthetics that he became especially interested in the field of pain management, an area in which he is still much involved both at North Hampshire Hospital and in his role as a General Medical Practitioner.
